Default +dmg vs. X question

So does the 20% extra damage given by say, a deathbane mod, influence the damage dealt by Whirlwind Attack? How about 100 Blades?

No, and no. It increases base damage of the weapon. You will deal more damage per hit with Whirlwind Attack, though.

This is pretty much what I thought, influences the base damage but not any + damage. Thanks for confirming though.
